Casa Sal y Rosas

Casa Sal y Rosas is a historic building located in the Lima District of Peru, designed by architect Víctor Mora and inaugurated in 1917. Named after one of its owners, Francisco Sal y Rosas Valega, the building features a blend of Art Nouveau and Venetian neo-Gothic architectural styles. The first floor accommodates commercial spaces, while the second floor boasts a grand hall illuminated by a striking stained glass lamppost. This cultural heritage site not only reflects the artistic trends of its time but also holds historical significance, as it was the residence where Francisco Sal y Rosas married General César Canevaro, a notable figure in Peru's War of the Pacific.
