Blairsden (house)

Blairsden is a stunning 62,000-square-foot mansion located in Peapack-Gladstone, New Jersey, originally built between 1897 and 1903 for investment banker Clinton Ledyard Blair. Designed by the renowned architectural firm Carrère and Hastings, the mansion features 38 rooms, 25 fireplaces, and 19 bathrooms, all set on a picturesque estate that once spanned 550 acres. The property includes a remarkable 300-foot reflecting pool adorned with busts of Roman Emperors. After serving as a religious retreat for the Sisters of St. John the Baptist, Blairsden has hosted various events, including the popular 2014 'Mansion in May' charity fundraiser, attracting over 33,000 visitors. Today, it remains a significant historical site, showcasing Beaux-Arts architecture and offering a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the early 20th century.
