Truman Wesley Collins Legal Center

The Truman Wesley Collins Legal Center, located on the Willamette University campus in Salem, Oregon, serves as the home for the College of Law. This modern facility features classrooms, a law library, and administrative offices, along with a fully functioning trial courtroom used for moot court. Notably, it houses a striking 12-foot statue of Lady Justice. Opened in 1967 and named after a prominent alumnus, the center underwent a significant renovation in 1992, highlighted by a dedication speech from former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, who emphasized civility in the legal profession. The center also gained attention in 2005 when its moot courtroom was utilized for a real civil trial.
