7, Lok Kalyan Marg, formerly known as 7, Race Course Road, serves as the official residence and primary workplace of the Prime Minister of India, located in New Delhi. The complex, known as Panchavati, spans 4.9 hectares and consists of five bungalows built in the 1980s, which include living quarters, a guest house, and security facilities. Although the site is closed to the public, it has historical significance as it has housed every Prime Minister since Rajiv Gandhi in 1984. The bungalows are designed in the architectural style of Edwin Lutyens and include a helipad and a conference room for informal meetings. The area is notable for its security features, including a tunnel connecting to Safdarjung Airport, and is a key site for understanding India's political history and governance.
