Chicano Park murals

Chicano Park, beneath the San Diego–Coronado Bridge in Barrio Logan, features a large, documented collection of Chicano-themed outdoor murals that began after a community land takeover in 1970. The murals depict Mexican and Chicano history, cultural icons, and political themes and were painted by local and visiting artists over decades. In 2013 Chicano Park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in recognition of its cultural and artistic significance.
