Empire State Building

Completed and officially opened on May 1, 1931, the Empire State Building was the tallest building in the world until 1970. It is an Art Deco skyscraper designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and has public observation decks on the 86th and 102nd floors. The building's broadcast antennas have made it a major communications hub for New York City.
