Lothrop Memorial Building-G.A.R. Hall

The Lothrop Memorial Building-G.A.R. Hall, located at 95 Washington Street in Taunton, Massachusetts, is a historic site originally built in 1888 as the First Presbyterian Church. This two-story fieldstone building features distinctive Queen Anne architectural elements and served as a community center for veterans of the Grand Army of the Republic. After the church dissolved in 1903, the building was repurposed and later rehabilitated for professional offices in 1983. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, making it a notable destination for tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
