Union League of Philadelphia (Civil War–era civic clubhouse)

The Union League of Philadelphia was founded in 1862 to support the Union during the American Civil War and maintains a historic clubhouse at 140 S Broad Street. The clubhouse contains richly appointed ceremonial rooms, period murals, and a significant portrait collection that reflect the organization's civic and patriotic activities from the 19th century onward. The Union League continues to function as a private civic organization with ongoing philanthropic and civic engagement in Philadelphia.
