Liverpool Homeopathic Hospital

The Liverpool Homeopathic Hospital, established in 1887, was a pioneering institution in homeopathic medicine located in a Grade II listed building on Hope Street, designed in the Queen Anne revival style. Notable for being the first UK hospital to feature early hydraulic lifts and advanced heating and ventilation systems, it joined the National Health Service in 1948 and was renamed in 1969 before closing in 1976. Today, the site is part of Liverpool John Moores University, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring the history of medical practices in the UK.
