Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library - Named for MLK Jr.

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library in downtown San Jose is a joint-use library operated by the City of San Jose and San José State University and is named for civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The library opened in its current joint facility in 2003 and serves as the main public library for the city and the university's main library. Its naming recognizes Martin Luther King Jr.'s historical role in the American civil rights movement.
