Gale-Bancroft House

The Gale-Bancroft House, located in Plainfield, Vermont, is a historic brick house built around 1840, notable for its rarity in a region predominantly featuring wooden structures. This modest single-story Cape style home showcases vernacular architecture with Greek Revival influences. It retains much of its original interior, including plain molding and a later-added tin roof in the main parlor. The property also includes a mid-19th century barn.
