Oaky Grove

Oaky Grove is a historic house located in Shotwell, Wake County, North Carolina, built in 1818 by Thomas Price. This Federal style home has been a family residence for generations, showcasing the history of the Price, Blake, and Doub families. Once part of a vast 4,500-acre plantation before the Civil War, the current 28-acre property includes the main house, a smokehouse, a barn, and a family cemetery. Oaky Grove was added to the National Register of Historic Places in September 1993, making it a significant site for tourists and researchers interested in North Carolina's rich history.
