Broneirion

Broneirion is a historic Victorian house located on a hillside across the River Severn from Llandinam, built in the 1860s by industrialist David Davies. This architecturally significant building, designed in the Italianate/Romanesque revival style, is set on 4.5 acres and features the first iron bridge in Montgomeryshire. Since 1946, it has served as a training centre for Girl Guides, becoming a key site for guiding activities in Wales. In 2022, it was announced that the mansion would be put up for sale, marking a significant change in its long-standing role as a guiding centre. Visitors can explore the rich history of the site, which includes a campsite named Cae Gwenllian, and appreciate its architectural heritage and beautiful surroundings.
