Wilson Power and Light Company Ice Plant

The Wilson Power and Light Company Ice Plant, also known as Delta Ice, is a historic industrial site located in West Memphis, Arkansas. Constructed in 1930, this distinctive brick building played a vital role in the production and distribution of ice, essential for transporting perishable goods before refrigeration became widespread. Visitors can admire its notable front facade featuring a loading dock and a decorative brick and cast stone parapet. The interior still houses original equipment, including large vats used for creating substantial ice blocks. Recognized for its historical significance, the facility was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010 and continues to operate as an icemaking facility.
