Rev. Daniel Putnam House

The Rev. Daniel Putnam House, built in 1720, is a remarkable example of late First Period colonial architecture located in North Reading, Massachusetts. This well-preserved 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure features a side-gable roof, central chimney, and a distinctive Federal/Greek Revival entry. Its interior boasts an intact chamber with original plaster and paint, making it a fascinating site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American history. The house serves as the headquarters for the North Reading Historical and Antiquarian Society and is open for society meetings and special events. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
