Rugby Grange

Rugby Grange is a historic house located near Fletcher in Henderson County, North Carolina, built in 1860 in the Italianate architectural style. The estate features a variety of agricultural outbuildings and fields, comprising 12 contributing buildings including the main 'Big House', Rugby Lodge II, and several cabins. It was once owned by Swedish diplomat George Westfeldt, who named the property after Rugby School in England. Rugby Grange was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
