Tejano Monument, Texas State Capitol grounds

The Tejano Monument, created by sculptor Armando Hinojosa, was installed on the south grounds of the Texas State Capitol in 2012. The bronze-and-stone monument depicts Tejano ranchers, families, and historical figures and was commissioned to recognize the contributions of Texans of Mexican descent to the state's history. Its installation added a major public monument on the Capitol grounds specifically honoring Tejano heritage.
