Rocky Balboa bronze statue at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

The bronze Rocky Balboa statue by sculptor A. Thomas Schomberg stands on the grounds of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and was commissioned for the film Rocky III. The statue was donated to the city and for crowd-control reasons was relocated in 2006 from the top of the museum steps to a pedestal at the base of the steps near the museum entrance. It remains a popular public artwork and photo spot for visitors who often emulate the film's famous run up the steps.
