Alcatraz Island – hauntings and legend of the prison

Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary (operational 1934–1963) is the subject of numerous reports of paranormal activity from former guards, inmates, and visitors, including claims of disembodied voices, cold spots, and unexplained sounds in cellblocks.
