Đình Bảng communal house

Đình Bảng communal house, one of the largest in Vietnam, is located in Đình Bảng village, Bắc Ninh Province, just 17 km from Hanoi. Construction began in 1700 and took 36 years to complete. This historic site is dedicated to the worship of various deities, including the spirits of mountains and water, as well as the God of agriculture. It also honors six key figures who helped rebuild the village in the 15th century after the Ming occupation. Besides its religious significance, the communal house serves as a village meeting hall and local government office, making it a central hub for community activities.
