Joseph and Daniel Marsh House

The Joseph and Daniel Marsh House, built in 1793, is a historic farmstead located in Quechee, Vermont. Once the home of Joseph Marsh, an early settler and Vermont's first Lieutenant Governor, the property now operates as the Quechee Inn. The complex features a main house with Federal styling, several barns, and retains many original architectural details. The house was relocated due to a flood control project in the 1960s and is significant for its connection to local history, including the upbringing of notable figures like George Perkins Marsh. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, it offers visitors a glimpse into Vermont's rich heritage.
