Downtown Houston Tunnel System

Houston's downtown tunnel system is an approximately six-mile network of climate-controlled underground pedestrian passageways connecting office towers, hotels, and parking garages. It runs beneath downtown Houston and links more than 95 city blocks and dozens of buildings with shops and restaurants. The tunnel reduces pedestrian exposure to Houston's subtropical weather and is primarily used by weekday office workers and visitors.
