Pueblo Hatchery

The Pueblo Hatchery, located in Lake Pueblo State Park, is Colorado's only facility for producing both cold and warm water fish. Operated by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, it was originally built by the United States Bureau of Reclamation. The hatchery focuses on raising various fish species, including rainbow trout, crappie, bluegills, largemouth bass, brown trout, saugeye, wiper, and walleye, using surface water from the nearby Arkansas River.
