Temple of Juno Regina

The Temple of Juno Regina, dedicated to the Roman goddess of marriage and childbirth, is an ancient site located near the Circus Flaminius in Rome's Campus Martius. Vowed by consul Marcus Aemilius Lepidus in 187 BC and consecrated in 179 BC, this temple was part of a significant religious complex that included a temple of Fortuna and later a temple of Jupiter Stator. The site was enhanced by Augustus, who transformed it into the Porticus Octaviae, making it a notable destination for tourists and researchers interested in Roman architecture and religion.
