Hawkeye Transfer Company Warehouse

The Hawkeye Transfer Company Warehouse, also known as the Rocket Transfer Building, is a historic site in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Constructed by Frederick Hubbell, founder of Hubbell Realty Co., the building has been in the family's ownership since its inception. In 2009, plans were approved to transform the warehouse and the nearby Schmitt and Henry Manufacturing Company complex into loft apartments. It was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and urban development.
