Córdoba Cabildo

The Córdoba Cabildo, a colonial town hall in Córdoba, Argentina, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1573. Initially meeting in private homes, the first dedicated structure was built in 1588, followed by a larger building in 1786 designed by Juan Manuel López, featuring grand architectural elements like a chapel and a covered arcade. Declared a National Historic Monument in 1941, the cabildo has served various purposes over the years, including as a detention center during Argentina's Dirty War.
