Ved Vesterport

Ved Vesterport is a historic copper-clad commercial building in central Copenhagen, Denmark, designed by Ole Falkentorp and Povl Baumann in 1930. Known for its unique facade, it has been nicknamed 'The Copper Building' due to its oxidized blue patina. The building features retail shops, an underground parking facility, and the renowned Restaurant Ritz on the top floor, which has a rich history of hosting events since its opening in 1931. It played a significant role during World War II when it was occupied by German forces. Today, after a refurbishment in 2018, it continues to serve as a mixed-use space, blending historical significance with modern functionality, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
