Odd Fellows Hall (Monticello, Iowa)

The Odd Fellows Hall, constructed in 1871, is a historic Italianate commercial building located in Monticello, Iowa. Originally built for the Monticello Lodge No. 117 of the International Order of Odd Fellows, which was established in 1858, the hall reflects the architectural style of the late 19th century. At its peak, the lodge boasted 121 members and even had a German-language affiliate. Although the organization declined and became defunct by the 1920s, the hall remains a significant landmark, recognized for its preservation and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1985.
