Srawasthi Mandiraya

Srawasthi Mandiraya, located in the picturesque Cinnamon Gardens suburb of Colombo, Sri Lanka, is a historic building originally constructed in 1913 as a Tuscan villa by the notable veterinary surgeon and philanthropist W. A. de Silva. This grand mansion served as a hostel for Members of Parliament until the establishment of the Madiwela Housing Complex. Throughout its history, it has hosted prominent figures such as Jawaharlal Nehru and Rabindranath Tagore. Today, it functions as the primary office complex for the Western Provincial Council, making it a significant site for those interested in Sri Lanka's political history and architectural heritage.
