Hawridge Windmill

Hawridge Windmill, also known as Cholesbury Windmill, is a historic tower mill located in Buckinghamshire, England. Constructed in 1883 on the site of an earlier smock mill, it is one of the last of its kind built in England. The mill has a rich history, having transitioned from a working mill to a private residence in 1913, when it was occupied by writer Gilbert Cannan. The mill is notable for its artistic connections, as it hosted many prominent figures from the Bloomsbury Group and other artists during the early 20th century. Although it is currently a private residence and not open to the public, its unique architecture and cultural significance make it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
