Ford Hotel

The Ford Hotel was a historic 750-room hotel located in central Toronto, Ontario, built in 1928. Known for its distinctive three-wing design and proximity to the Toronto Bus Terminal, it provided affordable accommodations for lower-income travelers. The hotel gained notoriety as a hotspot for crime and illicit affairs, earning the nickname 'rendezvous of choice for couples pursuing an illicit affair.' Despite its prominence for several decades, the Ford Hotel was demolished in 1973, and the site is now occupied by the Atrium on Bay. The hotel was part of a chain that included similar establishments in Buffalo and Montreal, showcasing the architectural work of John Foster Warner.
