Rolighed (Frederiksberg)

Rolighed is a historic property located in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark, built around 1770. It stands as one of the few remaining summer retreats from the late 18th century, reflecting the area's transformation as it became part of the expanding city. Originally a wax bleachery established in 1742, the estate evolved into a summer retreat named Rolighed by merchant Conrad Alexander Fabritius de Tengnagel. The property features Rococo architecture with a distinctive Mansard roof and is surrounded by charming farm buildings. Today, it is owned by the University of Copenhagen, offering a glimpse into the region's rich history and architectural heritage.
