Castro Theatre

The Castro Theatre is a single-screen movie palace that opened in 1922 and was designed by architect Timothy Pflueger. The theater is noted for its Spanish Colonial Baroque interior and for hosting film festivals and community events, including regular screenings associated with the Frameline LGBT Film Festival. It continues to serve as a cultural hub for the Castro neighborhood, presenting sing-alongs, repertory screenings, and special events.
