Lindheimer House

The Lindheimer House, located in New Braunfels, Texas, is a historic site recognized for its architectural significance and its connection to Ferdinand Lindheimer, the father of Texas Botany. Built in 1852 in the distinctive saltbox style, the house features a unique sloping roof and a loft instead of a full second story. It served as both a home and a print shop for Lindheimer, who published a local newspaper for two decades. Designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the house is now operated as a museum by the New Braunfels Conservation Society, offering visitors a glimpse into the life and contributions of this influential figure in Texas history.
