Lincoln Arcade

The Lincoln Arcade was a notable commercial building located near Lincoln Square on Manhattan's Upper West Side, constructed in 1903. Initially celebrated as a hub for business, it soon became a haven for aspiring artists, musicians, and writers, including famous figures like George Bellows and Eugene O'Neill. The building reflected the area's transformation from farmland to a bustling urban center. Despite its vibrant history, the Lincoln Arcade was demolished in 1960, marking the end of an era for a site that once embodied the creative spirit of New York City.
