Nashville Zoo at Grassmere - historic homestead on zoo grounds

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, located at 3770 Nolensville Pike, incorporates the Grassmere historic house and farm, a 19th-century homestead preserved on the zoo property. The zoo combines modern animal exhibits with interpretation of the Grassmere agricultural property and operates conservation, education, and animal-care programs. The presence of an on-site historic plantation house distinguishes the site from many other American zoos.
