Magoffin Home - Residence of Joseph Magoffin

The Magoffin Home was built in 1875 and was the residence of the Magoffin family, notably Joseph Magoffin (1823–1897), a prominent 19th-century El Paso civic leader and entrepreneur. The house is preserved as the Magoffin Home State Historic Site and contains original furniture, family papers, and diaries documenting life in El Paso during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The site served as a social and political gathering place for local leaders and visitors from both the United States and Mexico and is interpreted today as a museum of regional history.
