The Grotto (National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother)

The Grotto is a Catholic sanctuary and botanical garden in Northeast Portland featuring terraces, Stations of the Cross, and landscaped grounds. It hosts the annual Festival of Lights each winter, a local tradition that runs from late November through January with extensive seasonal light displays. Locals also use the site for contemplative walks, weddings, and community events throughout the year.
