Priory House, Monmouth

Priory House is a historic Grade II Listed building located in Monmouth, Wales, dating back to the 18th century. This three-storey structure features a modern dark red tile roof and has undergone numerous alterations over the years. In the early 19th century, it served as the Monmouth Classical Academy, a private boarding school led by Rev J Gosling, offering subjects such as Greek, Latin, and Math. In more recent times, it functioned as the clubhouse for the Monmouth Conservative Association until its closure at the end of 2023, when it was put up for sale. This building not only reflects the architectural heritage of the area but also its educational and political history, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers.
