James V. Forrestal Building (Department of Energy) controlled access

The James V. Forrestal Building at 1000 Independence Avenue SW is the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Energy. The building contains program offices and records that are restricted to cleared personnel, and visitors must pass security screening to enter. Many internal offices and certain program areas are off-limits to the general public and require escort or authorization.
