Swift Creek Rail Bridge

The Swift Creek Rail Bridge, located in Chesterfield County, Virginia, is a historic granite and iron truss bridge that once facilitated coal transport for the Clover Hill Railroad starting in 1841. Over the years, it changed ownership among four railroad companies, including the Brighthope Railway and the Tidewater and Western Railroad, which ultimately went bankrupt in 1917.
