Flatiron Building

Completed in 1902 and designed by Daniel Burnham, the Flatiron Building is notable for its triangular plan created by the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Broadway at 23rd Street. It was among New York City's earliest steel-framed skyscrapers and quickly became an iconic image of the city during the 20th century. The building continues to house offices and street-level retail while remaining a frequently photographed architectural landmark.
