Japan Center (Japantown)

The Japan Center complex at 1747 Post Street is the commercial and cultural heart of San Francisco's Japantown, developed in the 1960s as part of an urban renewal project. The center includes shops, restaurants, the Peace Pagoda, and year-round community events such as the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. It remains one of the few Japantowns in the United States and a noted neighborhood landmark for Japanese American culture and commerce.
