Randolph Mitchell House

The Randolph Mitchell House, located in New Reading, Ohio, is a historic site notable for its distinctive Neoclassical-influenced architecture. Built in 1828 by prominent local merchant Randolph Mitchell, the house features a unique 'L' shaped floor plan, a grand entrance with Ionic columns, and neoclassical detailing throughout its interior. As one of the few well-preserved examples of Federal and Adam styles in Perry County, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The house reflects the rich history of New Reading, a community established in 1801 that played a significant role in the region's early development.
