Shaurya Smarak

Shaurya Smarak is a prominent war memorial located in Bhopal, India, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 14, 2016. Spanning 12 acres in the scenic Arera Hills, this memorial features the impressive 62-feet high Shaurya Stambh, symbolizing the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, with the names of martyred soldiers inscribed nearby. The park includes a unique red sculpture that represents both a 'Namaskar' and 'A Drop of Blood' depending on the viewer's perspective. An underground museum showcases galleries dedicated to war heroes, featuring original art, historical displays, and a special gallery that simulates the cold of the Siachen Glacier. The site also hosts an amphitheater and a 37-feet bronze statue of Bharat Mata, unveiled on Indian Independence Day, making it a significant cultural and historical attraction for visitors.
