Harvard Exit Theatre

The Harvard Exit Theatre, located in Seattle, Washington, is a historic cinema that opened its doors on May 20, 1969, in a building originally constructed in 1925 by the Womans Century Club. The theatre retains its original lobby design due to a preservation agreement from its 1968 sale. Known for its unique charm, the venue has a storied past, including reports of a haunting by a woman in 1920s attire, which ceased in 1987. After operating under Landmark Theaters until 2015, the building was sold for redevelopment, and now houses the Consulate of Mexico, which opened in July 2018, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers alike.
