Barnes Foundation (Parkway building by Tod Williams Billie Tsien)

The Barnes Foundation relocated its collection to a new building on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in 2012; the building was designed by the architectural firm Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects. The Parkway facility was created to display the Barnes’ internationally significant collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and early Modern paintings along with decorative arts in a modern gallery setting. The move and new building significantly altered how the collection is exhibited and accessed by the public.
