Cool Spring Place

Cool Spring Place, also known as Cool Spring Tavern, is a historic house located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Built in 1788, this Federal-style dwelling features a distinctive low hipped roof and a charming double porch. Once a bustling tavern until 1795, it is recognized as the oldest surviving structure in Fayetteville, having withstood the devastating fire of 1831. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and history.
