Shanghai Changning Children's Palace

The Shanghai Changning Children's Palace, located in the Changning District of Shanghai, is a historic site originally built in the 1930s as a mansion for Wang Boqun, a prominent Kuomintang minister. Designed in the Victorian Gothic style, the mansion features over 40 rooms, Gothic arches, and a beautiful garden that includes a 120-year-old magnolia tree. Throughout its history, the building has served various purposes, including a consulate and a prison during tumultuous times. Today, it functions as a vibrant community center offering art, music, and dance classes for children, making it a unique blend of history and cultural education for visitors.
