Ringgold Place

Ringgold Place is a historic set of 26 rowhouses located in the Rittenhouse Square West neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Built around 1862, these three-story brick residences reflect the material shortages of the Civil War era, featuring simple facades and interiors. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, the houses were owned by prominent architect George Howe from 1925 to 1934, during which they were modernized and enhanced with decorative elements. This site offers a glimpse into Philadelphia's architectural history and the impact of historical events on urban development.
